I’ve been having a hard time finding the motivation to do yoga the last few days. A big part of this is because I was totally exhausted after doing 90 minutes of cleaning one day, a 90 minute hike the next, and an hour of yoga the day after that. I talked to my dietician about this on Thursday and she wants me to limit my exercise and activity to 30 minutes at a time, because she thinks that when I overdo the exercise it increases inflammation in my body. I agree that it probably does. So, I decided to do this Yoga Every Day Series on Gaia.com that is 15 minutes of yoga a day. It doesn’t sound like much but it should be enough to keep me motivated and in shape without overdoing it.
I also am starting the Restart program next week. It’s basically a keto type diet with a sugar detox. I’m nervous about how it’s going to go, but I am going to give it a try. It’s a five week course. I think that I need to cut down on sugars because whenever I eat them I gain weight really quickly. It’s frustrating. They just don’t seem to do well with my body.
In other news, I am feeling better mentally and emotionally. I feel like I was caught in body memories for the past 5 or 6 years, but yesterday those seemed to pass. So I’m feeling a lot lighter and a lot better overall. I hope that this feeling stays.
