We took Maggie on a 45 minute (just over two mile) walk yesterday. It was great! She did really well. We brought treats along with us so that we could reward her when she listened to commands like “leave it” and also when she didn’t jump on people. She did really well. I’d like to take her on walks like this more often, health permitting.
I’m not feeling great today though, so I may either not take her on a walk or just take her on a short walk with training treats. We’ll see. Luckily it isn’t rainy outside today.
Also, Nakia was whining outside our door for half of the night, so I didn’t sleep that well. She’s in heat again and is really noisy. I think that tonight I’m going to put her in the spare bedroom so that I can get a good night’s sleep.
For some reason, though, I have kitten fever. I really want some kittens! But I know that with four cats and a dog that we already have a full house. It’s just that I keep seeing all these cute pictures and videos of kittens and really want one! I think though that our next pet will probably be another dog for Maggie, because she needs someone to play with. She’s constantly trying to play with the cats and they don’t really appreciate it!
I might do some immunity boosting yoga this morning. We’ll see. I think that it would be good for me to do some sort of light yoga this morning, but my throat is really sore and my glands are swollen again. It’s frustrating to be so sick all the time right now. I really hate it. There are a lot of things I want to do in life but I’m sick all the time and can’t do them (for those who don’t know, I have Chronic Lyme and Chronic Epstein Barr/CMV+ Lyme coinfections). It gets boring resting all the time.
In addition to all of this, someone I know from the town I grew up in died of Covid-19. It’s the first person I’ve known who’s died from it. This has made me want to take extra precautions and not go out as much right now.
I hope that this blog posts finds you well. Thanks for reading! Feel free to comment below.
