I did a 45 minute power Vinyasa flow that focused on twists, which are my favorite type of pose in yoga. It was challenging but I got through it. The only part I didn’t do were some yoga type sit ups because Maggie was licking me all over my face when I laid down to do them! She loves to be involved in my yoga practice and to give me kisses when I do floor poses. It’s very cute!
We were going to go on a moderate hike today but I’m not sure if we’re going to now. I’m pretty sore from yoga yesterday. We will definitely take Maggie on some sort of walk today though.
Nakia and Patrick are getting along really well. They have been laying together on the waterbed pretty much constantly. It’s very cute!
We did have an incident this morning though. David and I let out an unopened bag of cat food and Patrick tried to scratch his way through the plastic! I found him doing this with Maggie barking and biting at him to try to get him to stop. So then I got him away from the food, and Tempest tried to get at it! I ended up putting the food in our third bedroom, where the cats aren’t allowed. It was pretty stressful though overall.
On top of all of this, my parents called me yesterday out of the blue. Apparently my sister is having difficulties and my nephew wants to come stay with us. I said that he could, but then I didn’t hear from anyone to follow up with that. So we’ll see what happens. I still don’t really want to see my parents because I’m doing so much better without them in my life. For example, I’m actually enjoying driving again, which is a big deal. But I’m afraid they’ll use this to try to get back in contact/see me. So I’m conflicted as to what to do. I kind of want to call them to check on my nephew but I know it’s not a good idea, so I probably won’t and will let him get ahold of me. It’s hard dealing with families that are dysfunctional like this.
Hopefully I have a good day anyways despite all of that!
