We took Patrick to his 3 month check up with his Oncologist yesterday. He was at the vet all day while they ran lots of tests on him. All of his blood results and scans came back great. The only issue he has is anemia due to prolonged chemo so he was given an iron shot, which he usually responds well to. It’s been two years and a month since he received his cancer diagnosis and is still going strong! I’m really proud of him for being such a strong boy through all of this. He gets like, 8 meds a day and chemo every other week and even though he doesn’t like getting all those meds twice a day, he struggles through it. He still has a good quality of life despite all of this and his symptoms. We’re all very happy about this.
I also took Maggie on a short walk yesterday and did not get nausea, cramping, or dizziness. So I’m going to try 20 minutes of yoga today. I do feel like the worst of the depression from the chemical pregnancy and the symptoms of it are over. Hopefully I can get back to my normal life here soon.
This definitely has been a whirlwind to go through. But, I’m feeling better and ready to resume life.
