I went on a hike this morning with some women from a hiking group that I am in. It was a lot of fun. We went to a nearby hiking area and hiked about 3.5 miles with Maggie, and then went out to eat. I will say that it was surreal going out to eat during a pandemic. We sat in outdoor seating, but I still felt the need to use a lot of hand sanitizer after I touched things, like the menu or the check. It was a bit anxiety provoking because of that, but still fun. Plus, Maggie tried to eat a rubber band that was on the ground! Luckily, she responded to the drop it command and everything is fine. I’m so glad that she knows that command!
We started her in agility training last night as well. We have a few things for her to work on this week, and the eventually she’ll be learning to do an agility course. She seems to be picking up on it quite easily, although she is afraid of the wobbler. She’ll get there though! I think that it will also help to raise her confidence.
I also made an appointment with a local holistic veterinarian for Maggie, Patrick, and Tempest and their health issues. Hopefully, we can do some gut healing on all three.
I do feel a little forgetful today, though. For example, I forgot to order my fish and chips gluten free today. Luckily, I have gluten-ease (a supplement that helps me digest gluten) at home, so it wasn’t a huge deal, but it is strange that I’m feeling that forgetful. Then, when I went to take out some recycle, I accidentally put it in the trash! I didn’t get a lot of sleep last night, so that’s probably why I’m feeling this way.
Anyways, I hope that this post finds everyone well. I hope that you’re still having some adventure in your life despite the pandemic. I know that I am!
