It was 98 degrees here yesterday. David took Maggie for a walk in the morning, around 10 am, when I was doing paddleboard yoga. We thought that this would be enough exercise for her for the day, but we were definitely wrong!
By the time the evening rolled around, I was pretty exhausted from paddleboard yoga earlier, and there was a thunderstorm going on. So, I only took her for a 10 minute walk. It turns out that was a mistake, because she was running around the house and chewing and digging on everything until about 10:30 or 11, and then woke us up at 6 am ready to conquer the world! Luckily I was able to fall back asleep but I’m not so sure about David.
This just taught me that she really does need a walk and/or play time in the evening so that she can settle down throughout the night.
In another note, in stand up paddleboard yoga yesterday I was able to do the wheel pose, camel pose, and crow pose! It was a lot of fun. It was really hot though and I was pretty sweaty by the end!
