I was feeling really burned out yesterday. Even so, I did an hour of Hatha yoga with my instructor in the morning. I wasn’t sure if I was up for it, but after I did it, I was feeling 100% better and ready to take on the day! It’s funny how exercise, especially yoga, can do that sometimes. It can kind of bring you out of your funk. At the end of the flow, I even did camel pose! This is only the second time that I’ve been able to do it, and I’m really proud of myself for doing it!
Overall, I really liked the Hatha yoga sequence and was surprised at how many calories I burned doing it (my fitbit tracks my calories and heart rate when I do yoga). I think that I’m going to try Hatha more often!
Later in the day I also took Maggie for an hour long hike. She did really well. I’m proud of myself for being able to drive as much as I am these days! For a long time, I was too traumatized and afraid to drive almost at all.
Today I’m going to take a break from yoga and clean the house so that we will have all weekend to do something fun! Apparently, though, it’s supposed to be close to 100 degrees on Sunday. I have SUP yoga that day so that should be interesting!
I can’t believe how much energy the yoga gave me yesterday. It really brought me out of my funk. I’m still feeling energetic and motivated even as I write this.
