Maggie Will Hopefully Start Agility Training in The Fall

Maggie had her monthly private lesson yesterday with one of her trainers. I told her trainer about how much Maggie loves to run and jump and how we want to start agility training when she’s old enough. The trainer told me that they have an agility course at their facility and that they want to start an agility basics class in the fall that Maggie would be able to take. I’m really excited about this! I think that she’s going to do great at it.

During her private lesson, we worked a lot on confidence building skills, meaning that she was balancing and stepping up onto different platforms and balancing balls. She’s having issues getting her back legs on the balancing tubes, so were going to work on that at home. We also just talked about how she is doing in general. She’s still kind of a fearful dog, and is upset when we leave, so it’s going to take her awhile to get to the place where she can do good citizenship training. But we’ll get her there.

I really do love having her as a pet. She’s so sweet. She cuddled with me this morning when I woke up, and then played with Patrick for awhile.

Here are a couple of pictures from her lesson yesterday. We had to have it inside because it was 90 degrees outside.
