I’m having a lot of health issues right now. I’m just got diagnosed with chronic Lyme, have chronic EBV and CMV, and some severe mental health issues. My thyroid also has been hyperactive for a few months. This past week my doctor also found that my cortisol is high and my estrogen is low, so today I’m going to be seeing an endocrinologist about all of this. I may be in peri-menopause, have a problem with my pituitary gland, or have PCOS. I’m assuming that there will be more testing to get to the bottom of what’s going on with me.
Despite all of this, I’m still doing yoga 5 or 6 times a week and walking my dog every day. I’ve also finally lost a little weight: I’m down to 129 pounds. I still want to get down to 120 or so, but it might take awhile given what’s going on with me. I’m still proud of myself for losing weight at all though.
I had a private yoga lesson yesterday. We worked on the Wheel pose, chaturanga, and three legged dog. It went pretty well. I’m amazed that I can do yoga for a full hour these days! I’m pretty tired out today though.
For those who are following Patrick’s story, he’s doing much better this week, even after having chemo last night. I’m not sure why he wasn’t eating last week.
Maggie’s hyper as ever these days. We’re working with her a lot on the off command because she jumps up all the time. Also, we are training her to use an agility course that we bought off of Amazon. She seems to really love it! When she’s older I want to enter her into doggy olympics.
