I decided to get a few private yoga sessions to make sure that my form is okay while I’m doing poses. I’ve been doing yoga for about a year and a half at home, and worry particularly that I’m rounding my back on some poses. I know that I’m doing it, especially on downward dog, because David took some pictures of me doing yoga a few weeks ago and I could see the rounding. So I decided that I needed a little extra help with yoga.
Luckily, my rounding is not as bad as I thought. The yoga teacher helped me on downward dog, triangle pose, and warrior 2. My form just needs minor changes. I have been working on rounding specifically too since I saw those pictures. But, overall, the teacher said that I’m doing pretty well and should be able to eventually do more advanced yoga poses like handstand and the wheel pose.
I’m really looking forward to having private yoga sessions. Hopefully I can get to doing some poses that I never thought I would do.
Lately I’ve been feeling like, the whole world’s open to me. Now I know that in reality it’s not, especially because of my Lyme symptoms. For example, yesterday I was flaring and just not feeling well, so David had to make dinner and take care of the animals and I went to bed by 9:30. But even though I have days like this, I’m still feeling much more confident these days and like I can do things that I never thought I’d be able to given my health conditions. It’s a nice feeling.
I’m writing this blog early this morning because I have a morning blood draw in a little over an hour. The doctors are testing my hormones and cortisol levels.
