Even though I was exhausted this morning, I decided to do a half hour of Vinyasa yoga anyways. I found one that was designed for the morning. During the practice, I was actually able to get my head off the ground during full bridge pose! I wasn’t able to get my body and arms all the way up, but this is still progress for me! Plus I felt a lot better after doing yoga: a lot more grounded, more focused, more energized, and less stressed. I’m really glad that I did it! I’m going to try to do the Sunrise morning series right now that’s on Gaia.com. Each video is about half an hour and will be a good way for me to wake up.
I’ll post pictures of me doing bridge pose when I’m actually able to get all the way up and do the pose correctly. I’m still working on it.
Also, I see that I’ve been gaining more followers lately, especially in regards to my fitness post. I want to say, thanks for following me. I’ve been involved in sports and fitness my whole life and was even a lifeguard and swim instructor/coach for six years. One of the challenges I’ve had with having chronic health issues is finding a way to balance exercise in my life. Earlier this week I tried a The Firm workout, and that was too much for me. So I’m going to stick to doing yoga every day and walking my dog. I can still get strong by doing that and stay in shape (it’s actually a workout to walk a six month old, 25 + pound puppy who is hyperactive and lunges at things).
Thanks for reading! Feel free to comment below. I’ll try to keep you all updated on my exercise progress as much as I can.
