My fasting time every day is 9:30 pm to 9:30 am. Usually this would be easy for me because I tend to sleep a lot, but for some reason, the last few days I haven’t been able to sleep in very well. This means that I’m up at 7 am and am starving but have to wait two and a half hours to eat! It’s not a lot of fun, but I know that there are benefits to intermittent fasting, so I’m doing it. It’s just really uncomfortable.
My thyroid is also high right now because doctors increased too much of my thyroid medication, which makes me really ravenously starving every few hours. So it takes a lot of willpower right now for me to do this fasting. It’s not comfortable either to be starving from a high thyroid and then have to wait to eat. But, if I eat as often as I’m hungry, even though my thyroid is high, I will gain weight. So I just have to practice patience as much as I can.
My dilemma this morning is whether or not I should do half an hour of yoga on an empty stomach. I’ve heard that it’s better to do yoga on an empty stomach, but I’m uncomfortably hungry due to my thyroid, so I don’t know how effective it would be for me. I might try it though, mainly because I need something to pass the time the next hour or so (It’s about 8:25 am right now). I’m also very sore from doing a weight lifting/cardio workout yesterday that I found on gaia.com, and am hoping that I can make it through a half hour of yoga anyways. I did a bunch of squats and lunges yesterday and I can feel it!
In other news, Maggie has recovered from her spay and is out of her cone. We went on a 20 minute walk yesterday, which was her first walk in almost two weeks. We all really enjoyed it. She’s enjoying being out of the cone and being able to run and play around the house!
