After my counseling appointment, David and I decided to visit the Washington Park Arboretum in Seattle. I’ve never been there before, and love Arboretum and gardens, and I decided that I wanted to go there a few weeks ago. We’ve been trying to make it there but things kept coming up.
The Arboretum itself is circular and is filled with trails and different gardens. It’s probably the biggest arboretum that I’ve been too. There are trails up and down between the main pathways and in between as well. We explored different trails and gardens here and there but unfortunately didn’t make it to a Gazebo that overlooked the Arboretum. We’ll have to go there another time.
We ended up walking about 3 1/2 miles total, including a visit to the Japanese Garden. It was really fun, but for some reason I am sore today. I had wanted to do Yoga but I might take it easy because we are planning on going on some sort of hike tomorrow.
Before going to the Arboretum, we also went to a wonderful restaurant named Cactus in the Madison district, which had some of the best tacos I’d ever tasted. My tacos were pulled pork brisket, and David’s were chicken. We both liked our meals very much. After the Arboretum we went to Nuflours bakery on Capital Hill and got some gluten free goodies.
Overall, it was a really good day. I’m glad that we had the chance to visit the Arboretum!
