I got a phone call yesterday afternoon that I’d left some things at the hospital that I stayed at. So, David and I went to pick my stuff up and decided that because it was a nice day, we should visit a beach in Edmonds. So, we found one that is right near the ferry, and has a walking path along the water.
What we didn’t count on, though, was how busy the area would be. There was a Taste of Edmonds going on this past weekend that was near downtown; thus, it took us awhile to find parking. But, we coincidentally parked pretty close to the Taste of Edmonds, so we ended up going there for a little while. We bought a few things, ate curly fries and had a strawberry mint lemonade to drink. The festival was pretty nice, but there wasn’t much food that I could eat.
After visiting the festival, we walked to the beach. It was really beautiful and right next to the Ferry Landing. I want to go back sometime with some sort of beach umbrella and spend some time there (we didn’t stay as long as we could have because we wanted to get home to the cats).
In the evening, we watched the movie Shazaam, which was pretty funny. But, some of my child parts got pretty scared during the movie. I watched it to the end anyways and am glad that I did. Still, some of my parts are feeling sensitive this morning. It can be difficult to please and cater to all of my parts all of the time, which means that sometimes certain ones have to do things that they don’t necessarily want to do, or don’t get to do what they want. I try to balance all of the parts needs as best as I can but it doesn’t always work out.
Today I’m going to see my primary doctor. I have a lot to talk to her about, including my thyroid and EBV results.
