Some Strangers Online Helped to Make My Day

I’m still shocked at the many religious and spiritual posts that I am seeing all over the internet. Something’s definitely going on right now in this world. Maybe an awakening into trying to understand the world and oneself in it is occurring. I don’t think that this is just happening to religious/spiritual folk; I also see atheists and agnostics also questioning things and growing stronger in their beliefs about the world.

I don’t know, though, if this is for better or for worse. Will it bring people together, or will it further polarize our nation and our world? The answers are yet to be seen.

I’ll write more about my own awakening later. Right now, though I want to share about how a couple of people online really made my day.

I was browsing through the support group just now that I tend to read the most. I noticed another post about God and the Devil. I read through the responses and a lot of them are sort of expected responses.

Now a lot of the time I don’t comment on certain things on Facebook or even in person. I decided though just to say that I’m not Christian so I don’t know. I also said that “My cat’s name is Lucifer and I’m not ashamed of it.”

Now if you read my previous blog post from today, you’ll see that Lucifer has been teased about his name by my abusive ex boyfriends. So I didn’t really expect a great reply on this comment. But then I actually got a few supportive comments about his name! So I decided to read the comments to him aloud. I’m not sure if it made a difference to him, but it sure made a difference for me!

Thanks for reading! I hope as you read this that everything is well for you. If it’s not, just keep putting one foot in front of the other. I appreciate everyone who reads my posts and follows my blog.

  1. Hi there. I am a satanic ritual abuse survivor. The name Lucifer is very triggering for me. But I guess your cat is your cat. One way to think about it tho is / would you name your cat Hitler? The name Lucifer has the same connotations unfortunately for survivors of this abuse. 🤓

  2. I’m sorry if I triggered you! It is also a trigger for me but I didn’t feel the trigger or come to terms with it until he was about 8. It’s sad.
