Article on anger and irritability as a result of depression

Part of the reason why I was misdiagnosed with bipolar disorder is that I can become angry and irritable when I am depressed. But these symptoms can actually can be a symptom too of major depressive disorder. For me, symptoms of depression have taken different forms throughout my life. When I think about this misdiagnosis I realize that it must be difficult for providers to realize what is going on with a person. I’m just glad to have a new provider now who really listens. Do you have anger or irritability due to depression?
